Broken mini ice cream cones

When they arrived, five of them were broken.. their packaging of ice cream cones should’ve been more than bubble wrap… and I asked how they would replace those broken ones. They told me that they have a disclaimer on their website on those cones i that says order extra in case any arrive broken… seriously? Spend more money in order extra… What happens if the extra arrive broken… they said they would refund me half but I never saw the refund… I’m sure it’s a very nice storm, but they really ought not handle ice cream cones,,,, I was unable to make my project because there was too many broken.. if they have a disclaimer saying Door more in case they arrive broken… Then they already know they’re gonna be some that are broken… don’t order ice cream cones from this company

Unfortunately these tiny cones are the most fragile item we ship- we wrap each pack of cones carefully in bubble wrap and ship in approved crush rated shipping boxes, but sometimes a few of them will still crack during shipping.
We have two disclaimers (one of them is a box that the customer has to check off) before you choose to purchase this product explaining that we cannot 100% prevent all breakage during shipping.
It is not a ‘money grab’ suggesting you order extras, it is a helpful tip if you need to have a certain number of cones for an order. Just trying to be transparent about shipping these fragile items before customers choose to order them.
We refunded 50% of the product for you (which also means we made ZERO profit on this order) even though only 5 out of 24 were cracked and despite the fact you accepted the disclaimer warnings about possible breakage before checking out.
It is not possible for us to just ship 5 replacement cones, as they are all packaged into packs of 24, so we offered the next best option.

I ordered 24 of these sample size waffle cones and when they arrived, five of them were broken. I understand there is a disclaimer on the product but the packaging of these fragile items was terrible! No wonder so many broke! When I reached out to the company, all they did was mention the disclaimer. I will never be purchasing from this company again.
